Naoussa (ελλ. Νάουσα) 

At the foot of the eastern Mount Vermio in a natural embrace, formed by successive levels that descend gradually to the plain, is built Naoussa, dominating from an average altitude of 330 m. by the sea all over the fertile plain of Imathia extending to Thessaloniki.

The Vermio mountain, which is the natural boundary between the plain Imathias Thessaloniki to the east, and the highlands of Kozani to the west, leaving mandatory minimum crossings, on which are the most important cities of the region: Veria, capital of Imathia to the south, in the center Naoussa and Edessa, the capital of Pella to the north.

The abundant waters of Mount Vermio form large and small waterfalls, which were used by the pioneers Naoussa as a driving force for the industry since the 19th century .

The most important river is the Arapitsa, which has its source in an area of natural beauty close to the city, to Agios Nikolaos. Rolling to the lower levels, through the city, dividing it into two unequal parts, and successive waterfalls, larger or smaller amounts, formed all the way up the valley.

Naoussa, is the second largest municipality of Imathia was originally united with the project "Kapodistrias" the former communities Arkochori, Giannakochori, Rhodochori Stenimachos and while the "Kallikratis" combined with former Anthemia Eirinoupolis and, thus forming a single municipality Naoussa population reaches 34,000 residents.

It is located just 90 km from Thessaloniki and 510 km from Athens. Connects road with large urban centers via Egnatia Motorway and railway line with Intercity Florina - Naoussa, Thessaloniki - Athens.

Naoussa is justly considered a magical destination for visitors as it offers a rich web activities and the four seasons. The winter is ideal for winter tourism as it has one of the best ski resorts in Greece 3-5 Pigadia. At other times of the year is ideal for excursions to the green Vermio mountain for visits to the numerous churches of the region and of course for wine tourism in fertile vineyards, wineries and the famous distilleries.
